5D Mark III Battery Life. Hey everyone, I just upgraded from a Nikon D7000 (kit lens and 35mm 1.8) to a 5D Mark III and 70-200 IS II and boy am I loving it! I do have one question/concern though: the battery seems to drain rather quickly (at least compared to my D7K.) I've taken ~150 shots and maybe have spent 30 minutes in the menus and the Connectivity: Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, Micro USB Mini HDMI Connector, Micro USB 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack; Battery Type: Li-ion, Rechargeable; Model: LP-E17; Battery Life (Approx.): 370 shots; Price: Rs. 219,999; Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. Here, the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV is quite expensive than others and follows a very good performance indeed. Just bought a Canon 5D Mark iii and previous owner had removed battery door for battery grip. Called Canon and theirs was just under $19 shipped. This one is 7.99!!! Feels solid and fits snugly. Had to google how to insert but instead of sliding spring back, use the small black lever above spring to slide left little hinge over. I was able to return it to the store and get a replacement camera. However, the same problem has occurred with my second 5D Mark III. Given that the same problem has occurred with two separate bodies I am assuming it is something inherent in the 5D Mark III. Otherwise, I am trilled with the camera.
